What it is

The Beaver Computing Challenge introduces computer science through logic puzzles. No programming knowledge is needed.

There are three levels: Grade 5/6 (Grade 6 or below), Grade 7/8 (Grade 8 or below) and Grade 9/10 (Grade 10 or below). Each takes 45 minutes.

A good fit if: Kids who love logic puzzles, patterns and figuring out how things work.

How to register

  1. Students can't register themselves. A teacher orders the contest for the school. If your school doesn't take part, you can ask another local school to let your child write with them.
  2. Schools must order by October 26, 2026, so ask your child's teacher now.
